Fresh off a weeklong shoot in Scotland for Cottonfield's autumn catalog, model Albert Reed (http://www.albertreed.net), the 19-year-old face of Abercrombie & Fitch, was spotted in December by top talent management firm John Crosby Management. Now the company has announced it will represent Reed, an aspiring actor and musician. Established in 1990, John Crosby Management has been responsible for helping to develop some of Hollywood's top talent. John Crosby currently represents a select list of clients including Rene Russo, John Hurt, Emmy winner Shia LaBeouf, and "Desperate Housewives" star James Denton. The firm has already matched Reed with a prominent New York acting coach. In addition, Reed has just signed with Innovative Artists Talent and Literary Agency in New York and Bleu Model Management in Los Angeles - and is featured as one the "24 freshest faces on the Miami modeling scene" in the January print and online issues of Ocean Drive magazine. In short, Albert Reed has had a very good month. But then, the last three years have been good to Reed as well. Since walking into KARIN Models in Miami as a sixteen-year-old surfer and being signed on the spot, Reed's career has been nothing short of phenomenal. He began modeling full-time after high school, appearing in numerous magazines, print ads, catalogs and runways for everyone from Levi Strauss & Co. to Chanel. Shortly after appearing on the cover of the Abercrombie & Fitch 2004 back-to-school catalog, Reed was featured in that company's short football-themed video. Cosmopolitan magazine named Reed the December 2004 "Guy Without His Shirt," and Chicago Fashion Magazine's online edition is currently featuring an interview with him. Reed acknowledges the ride from teenaged surfer to international model has been a wild one. But one thing seems clear: in signing with John Crosby, the rising star of the modeling industry may soon find himself on a similar trajectory in the world of film and television. |
